Paul is the founding member of pddesign that was formed in July 2002.
Paul graduated from Westminster College, London in June 1993 after successfully completing a Higher National Certificate in Building. Previous qualifications include a First Diploma in Construction and Ordinary National Certificate in Building.
In 1987, Paul started his career as a Technical Draughtsman for Hind WoodHouse Partnership, a small architectural practice based in London. In 1989, he joined the Carl Bro Group as a structural engineering/cad technician and was involved in a variety of different projects ranging from small residential to large office developments.
In 1994, Paul joined the Elliott Wood Partnership as a Structural Engineering CAD Technician and was involved in the design and detailing of various projects including small to medium residential and commercial developments including a well-known Bar/Restaurant Chain. He progressed to the level of Associate Designate before deciding to leave in May 2002 to form his own Consultancy.
Paul became an Associate Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Engineering Council (UK) in October 2003. Paul will shortly be proceeding to become a Chartered Member of IStructE.
As a structural engineer and architectural designer, Paul has extensive experience and varied knowledge of all types of residential extensions and conversions, new build dwellings, basements, etc and can initially help a client design and visualise the space they require with all structural aspects considered at the design stage and then proceed to provide a full detailed building works package to enable a client to engage a builder and finally commence the works on site.
Paul became an Associate Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and an Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council (UK) in October 2003.
