A large back land site formed from part of a garden for a large dwelling on a private housing estate.

The main feature of this property is the glass frontage.  Due to the enclosed nature of the site and the building’s proximity to other neighbouring properties, windows could not be provided to the sides or rear, therefore the main source of light and outlook to the whole internal space was from the front.

The structure consisted of a steel frame with blockwork cavity wall construction, timber floors and roof along with a basement garage/plant roof.

All of the glass is provided by ODC who supply all doors/windows for our projects. Their website is well worth a visit to explore the various options you can use on your project.

The end result is quite spectacular and created a modern, high specification family home.

A unique opportunity to create a large apartment by combining two smaller unloved and tired apartments in a Victorian Apartment block in a very prestigious area of SW London.

Split over 3 levels when converted, the new apartment created a fully refurbished, 3 bedroom dwelling with roof terrace, located on the top 3 floors of the host apartment building.

New bespoke kitchen, family bathroom and en-suite bathrooms provided along with crittal glass accents around the existing staircase to promote space and natural lighting.

The end result was a simply stunning apartment, with a top end, on trend finish, in a fantastic location.

ADA Lovelace Suite, Seaham Hall Hotel

A simple idea. To convert a disused large drawing room within a Grade II Listed Building of a Boutique SPA Hotel, to create a large split level Bridal Suite.

The formation of a mezzanine floor internally to create the split level along with other minor changes have created a stunning, memorable space where anybody is welcome to enjoy.

The hotel in question is Seaham Hall in Seaham, County Durham.  Please visit their website for further details of the accommodation they can offer.  The hotel is located in beautiful grounds with the beach a short walk away.

A ground floor flat located in a typical Victorian terrace in Balham, SW London.  The property had not been touched for a large number of years and needed significant improvements and updating.

A full refurbishment was undertaken that included removal of some internal walls to create an open plan living/dining/kitchen area to the rear that opened directly onto the rear garden through new doors.

Overall, a perfect restoration of a tired property to create a desirable residence.

Another large site that originally accommodated a 3 bedroom bungalow. The bungalow was demolished to make way for this large 6 bedroom family dwelling with landscaped gardens to the front and rear.

We adopted a non-typical design for the super-structure, using solid blockwork walls that were insulated with an external system, along with an aluminium framed metal frame roof that was modelled and built off site and bolted together on site.

This resulted in a much more cost effective build with less material and labour costs.  The carbon footprint was also significantly lower than standard masonry construction.

A large site that originally accommodated a 3 bedroom bungalow.   The bungalow was demolished to make way for this large 5 bedroom family dwelling with guest accommodation, double garage, etc.

We are currently looking at proposals to add a garden outbuilding and pool to provide further ancillary accommodation for the current owners.

A great use of a dis-used outbuilding to create a multi-use area.  The original stables were combined to create the large open plan area with a further garage added at the other end of the building.

The building was fully re-roofed with vaulted roof trusses to promote space and to accommodate the large velux windows to allow natural daylight and ventilation of the space.  New large folding doors were also introduced to open up the space to the outside in the summer.

The new space not only houses our office along with a small kitchen and shower room but also accommodates a comfortable seating area and small gym.

We also took the opportunity to super-insulate all elements of the build, well over and over current building regulations.  We are kept nice and warm in the Winter, comfortably cool in the Summer and we use very little electricity therefore our carbon footprint is very small.

We intend to install solar panels in the coming months which means that our office will soon be carbon neutral and eco-friendly.

A different take on a standard loft extension to this first floor flat.  Working in conjunction with the clients Architect, we developed the scheme to enable to construct a large loft extension with roof terrace.

The new loft extension accommodates the living/dining/kitchen area with direct access to the new roof terrace, whilst the existing first floor area provides 3 bedrooms and family bathroom.

The wow factor to this loft extension is the sliding glass roof light.  Technically and structurally quite challenging but the end result is worth all the effort.
